New York, NY -- (SBWIRE) -- 11/04/2009 -- Bio Leaf Group S.r.l. returns to the US market with its official debut scheduled to take place at the highly regarded “2009 Cook. Eat. Drink. Live.” The exclusive wine and gourmet food event will be held at The Tunnel & La.Venue in New York City (608 West 28th Street), on November 6 - 8, 2009 (for show schedule, please visit http://www.tastingsnewyorkcity.com).

New York wine and food enthusiasts will recall Bio Leaf‘s presence as an exclusive sponsor of Aspen Social Club’s opening party for Mercedes Benz’s 2009 fashion week. The Aspen event marked Bio Leaf’s first introduction of Italy’s finest organic olive oil to the US market.

Bio Leaf’s Pugliese family business has been supplying Italian olive oil to exporters in the international market for over 25 years. Driven by the family passion and tradition for cultivating olive oil, the enterprise flourished with its eco-friendly agricultural methods employing high quality control processes. Following years of research and development, Bio Leaf was launched as a concept brand to provide the world of gourmet food an added touch of elegance. By incorporating extra-virgin organic olive oil and patented bottle design, Bio Leaf aims to meet and satisfy the refined taste of its discriminating connoisseurs. To date, the US response has been so significant that it led Bio Lead to establish permanent Manhattan-based agent representation focusing on the management of inquiries and operations throughout the North American market.

Often referred to as ‘the garden of Italy,’ Puglia is believed to grow the best olive trees in the region. In order to live up to the region’s reputation, Bio Leaf’s traditional farming methods maintain a special relationship with Mother Earth and her resources. With years of research and development, Bio leaf perfected eco-friendly farming methods to produce the best quality extra-virgin organic olive oil anyone can find. These sustainable farming methods have earned Bio Leaf a number of domestic and internationally recognized agricultural standards, including the USDA certified organic, and Europe’s ICEA ethical farming standards. What’s more, Bio Leaf’s olive oil – made exclusively from Ogliarola olives – has earned the company Puglia’s DOC coveted certification.

The design of the Bio Leaf bottle is associated with a series of patents engineered to preserve the oil’s organic properties. Its appearance portrays more than just fashionable design innovation; only the freshest olives are first cold pressed at temperatures below 27°C in Avetrana, Taranto. The result is extra-virgin organic olive oil with acidity level of less than 0.3%. A uniform golden-green hue compliments the floral aroma from the brilliantly viscose olive oil.

Bio Leaf’s olives are harvested in late October and the product arrives into the US by mid December. Supply is limited and normally sells out before the next harvest. Bio Leaf will be available for Christmas sales by late 2009 in selected exclusive gourmet and specialty food stores in US, Europe and in La Rinascente stores in Italy.

Due to space limitations and the exclusive nature of its product, Bio Leaf is encouraging prospective visitors to send an early RSVP via the following links. A limited of number of complimentary admission tickets (valued at $65) will be awarded to early respondents.
