Run Wild on Sunday, October 6th at the Elmwood Park Zoo 5K Run and Scavenger Hunt

 

Norristown, PA -- (SBWIRE) -- 09/09/2019 -- At Elmwood Park Zoo, they help make a trip to the zoo a fun time for all members of the family. From featuring special events to offering zoo birthday parties for the residents of Bucks County and beyond, the organization provides a wide range of activities and fun exhibits. Now, Elmwood Park Zoo is inviting individuals of all ages to join in their 5K Run and Scavenger Hunt on Sunday, October 6th.

The registration for the 5K Run and Scavenger Hunt begins at 8 AM, and the race itself starts promptly at 9 AM. The course has been certified by USATF and is a stroller-friendly run and scavenger walk. All registrants and guests are provided with free admission to the zoo, and all runners who register online will be given a commemorative t-shirt.

The rain or shine event is being held to support the Children's Programs at RSVP, a King of Prussia-based nonprofit who strives to improve the lives of vulnerable persons within the community through enough wellness, education, and volunteerism.

Elmwood Park Zoo invites competitors of all ages to register and participate in the event, including family, friends, coworkers, and fellow runners. And whether they opt for the 5K run or the 1-mile Animal Safari Walk, participants are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes and enjoy the entire day at the zoo.
