San Francisco, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 09/10/2012 -- Samsung might be treating their customers quite well by introducing top quality and competitive android phones and tabs at a very reasonable prices compared to Apple, however it seems like mobile-tech bloggers didn’t have the greatest experience with the South Korean Multinational conglomerate.

According to a comprehensive report in The Next Web, Samsung reached out to various mobile-tech bloggers some time back in India and invited them to fly with the company for the IFA 2012 conference in Berlin. It was reported that one of the bloggers from New Delhi, Clinton Jeff, made it clear that he will attend the conference as a reporter and Samsung had no issues with that in the beginning. Jeff also elucidated that he won’t be doing any sort of promotional activity for the company during the conference period and Samsung gave him a green signal.

However, a few days leading up to the IFA 2012 conference tour, the bloggers were continuously asked by Samsung officials for their clothing measurements. After reaching Berlin to attend the conference, the mobile-tech bloggers were given Samsung shirts and were asked to operate a booth for the company throughout the conference in order to showcase the products of Samsung to the press.

It was reported that when Clinton Jeff objected to any involvement in any kind of promotional activity as arranged earlier, a representative from Samsung called him up and told him that the company will not pay for his return-ticket if he refuses to do as they said.

In this situation, Samsung’s rivals Nokia came to the rescue for Jeff as they offered him a hotel room and ticket to fly back home. “For everyone asking, I’m fine thanks! I have a hotel, I have tickets home, thanks to Nokia who swooped in and helped me @ the last minute” Clinton Jeff tweeted, according to news.cnet.com.
