It is said in one of her songs, she ridiculed two Dalit castes due to which investigations were initiated against her. It is said that she attempted suicide also but timely treatment saved her from the jaws of death.

She emphatically says that several artists had performed the same song but they were not blamed then. But she was singled out and was hounded. She received several offensive comments on her Facebook Page that forced her to take the extreme step.

These controversies notwithstanding, Sapna has become highly popular throughout North India. She has sung and performed and has come out with more than 20 hit songs. With her tall and pretty figure and immense talent, she continues to captivate the hearts of millions of her fans all over India.
