Oxford, MA -- (SBWIRE) -- 04/17/2012 -- The Industrial Leaders Group (ILG) formed in 2003 to improve the productivity, quality and global competitiveness of U.S. manufacturers announced on March 12, 2012 it will serve as the sole accreditation board for ISO certification for G-PMC, LLC (http://www.g-pmc.com). The company made the announcement after completing its nearly three year study of quality certifications being awarded to businesses in the manufacturing sector by registration bodies. According to ILG, the study was initiated back in 2009 when the company formed an independent accreditation arm tailored to the strict conformance of the International Standards Organizations policies and procedures.

Jim Davidson, Business Director for the Industrial Leaders Group said the study has shown a significant number of quality management professionals with an unfavorable opinion on the services received by their registration company. Davidson declined to name individual firms, but did acknowledge ILG has received a number of complaints from managers attending ASQ and SQA meetings indicating to be dissatisfied with the ISO certification process. The study supports an independent survey performed last year by the American Machine Shops Network (AMSN) showing a large portion of machine shop owners disappointed in not getting value added from their registrars for the money investment. Davidson said other complaints were an inconsistency in corrective actions where one year a company may get a few minor corrective actions, and the next year it passes without any non-conformances.

In 2012 the Industrial Leaders Group evaluated over 128 small and mid-sized ISO consulting firms and discovered that the premise of ISO over the decades have been increasingly clouded. Last month ILG announced out of the 128 firms evaluated it selected Connecticut-based GUBERMAN-PMC, LLC as the number one ISO certification company in the United States for its ability to provide a more personalized and value added service for businesses in need of attaining ISO, AS, TS certification. GUBERMAN-PMC, LLC was shown to have the most complete, hands-on experience in all phases of the quality process as well as other criteria required by ILG such as documented supportive data, client endorsements and 24-7 support.

“Daryl Guberman, the President of GUBERMAN-PMC, LLC has been in the developmental stages of a unique and superior ISO certification for the industry at large but required an accreditation board to certify an off shoot of his registration company G-PMC,LLC” said Davidson. He concluded, “The Industrial Leaders Group will perform the oversight of G-PMC, LLC as an independent certification body, and will oversee the company exclusively.” Davidson said ILG will neither pursue nor accept offers with other registration companies to ensure its quality-focused, integrity-driven and value-added commitment remains at the forefront of overseeing the G-PMC, LLC registration body.
