The company announced its preliminary, unaudited results for the fourth quarter and year ended December 31, 2012. NLS expects to report net sales of approximately $65.0 million for the fourth quarter of 2012, an increase of 8.4% compared to the fourth quarter of 2011. For the full year 2012, net sales are expected to approximate $194.0 million, an increase of 7.5% compared to 2011.

The Goldfield Corporation (NYSE:GV) shares gained 10.09% to $2.40. The company, on Dec. 6, announced the election of John W. Davis III, 39, as President and chief executive officer of the Southeast Power Corporation, its electrical construction subsidiary, effective January 1, 2013.
