LG Unveils Optimus 3D in MWC 2011

LG has recently unveiled LG Optimus 3D Android Smartphone in Mobile World Congress (MWC). It’s the world’s first glasses-free 3D Android smartphone.

 

New York, NY -- (SBWIRE) -- 03/24/2011 -- LG recently unveiled LG Optimus 3D Android Smartphone in Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2011. It will launch in the UK on the 25th April and the online retailer Expansys has given it a price tag of £514.99 in UK.

A 1 GHz dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor powers the Optimus 3D. It has a touch-sensitive LCD 3D screen with 800×480 pixel resolution. And it supports 3D viewing without glasses. It comes with 4 GB of Low Power DDR 2 memory which is capable of running in dual-channel. It will have 8 GB of built-in storage and 512 MB RAM with a micro SD card slot which can accept another 32 GB.

It is also embedded with Dual 5 MP dual lens cameras (which will include features like -autofocus and geo-tagging) with an LED flash between them. The consumers can take pictures and videos in full 3D. Also, in a bid to provide a unique 3D mobile experience to users, LG Electronics and You Tube have taken a major step forward by announcing a partnership. According to their joint statement “LG’s upcoming Android-powered premium smartphones will enable users not only to capture and view 3D videos without glasses, but also to upload and share them instantly with others via YouTube.” Besides YouTube the consumers can plug the phone via HDMI 1.4 port to HD display for watching the captured 3D content on larger screen.

It also comes with diverse connectivity options, for instance it provides support for GPRS, 3G (HSDPA, HSUPA) EDGE,Wi-Fi, DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) and Bluetooth.
