All contributions made through this campaign will allow Brady Lake Patrolman to use what they will learn not only for the citizens they serve now but wherever their careers takes them.
Mountain View, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 08/23/2013 -- The Village of Brady Lake Ohio Police Department is comprised of 25 sworn men and women, ranging in experience from new academy graduate to retiree. They work 24/7 to keep the residents of the village safe. All are unpaid volunteers. Brady Lake Ohio is a history rich small section of Portage County where family tradition is a way of life. The officers working here strongly believe in the department’s mission, and the chief they work for.
Training is the key foundation to a successful department. It is the key to keeping the people who visit safe but also the residents that call Brady Lake home. Unfortunately training costs are high. Ohio has some of the best training programs available to Law Enforcement. Officers already supply every piece of duty gear, from uniforms, to weapon, to sometimes personal radios. They volunteer time to keep the patrol cars running, and monitor bus stops.
As a 10 year veteran, and son of a 28 year veteran of Law Enforcement, Sean can attest that nothing helps prevent crime tomorrow, than by educating youth today. Dare programs, Community Policing / Neighborhood Watches and reverse 911 are all proven ways to make a small community safe. Ohio has classes that can teach officers how to implement these programs, but unfortunately they come at a cost, that the dept simply does not have. Even the smallest $2 dollar donation goes towards a new traffic vest, or a new flag. Every dollar counts.
