Sources Say Katy Perry Preparing for Pregnancy Reports Board Book Albums

San Francisco, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 01/22/2013 -- According to reports, Katy Perry is preparing both body and mind for the event of childbirth.

Since she and John Mayer went public with their relationship in December, the two have appeared to be almost inseparable. The pop star has stated she is completely taken with Mayer, and claims to be considering the idea of starting a family with her man.

"She's gained a few pounds," a source explained to British magazine more! "Katy is taking a much needed break from work, and perhaps even getting her body and mind ready for pregnancy."

The couple recently went on holiday to Hawaii, where John showed his affection a bit more openly, according to reports. The musician was unable to keep his eyes off of Katy, by all accounts. An insider stated that john was constantly taking picture of his girlfriend and the source claimed: "He couldn't stop snapping away. Katy was happy to oblige - she found it very amusing."

Perry was previously married to British comedian Russell Brand. The couple's divorce was finalized in July of 2012. Mayer has now been dating the music celebrity for the months. He was previously linked to such starlets as Jessica Simpson, Taylor Swift, and Jennifer Aniston. Sources close to John state he fell for Katy due to her confident and unwavering nature.

"Katy is so independent and not needy and clingy like other girls he dated," the source stated.

There had been rumors milling about of a possible proposal in the works. John himself, sparked such rumors that he may be planning a proposal after he was spotted in jewelry stores. The common thought was that he was searching for engagement rings. However, up to this point there is no hard evidence of that being the case.
