Stevenson will step down at the end of the company's fiscal year ending Oct. 31.

STMicroelectronics N.V. (ADR) (NYSE:STM) shares gained 4.52% to $8.09. The company, last week, announced that it has added a standalone 3-axis magnetometer to its MEMS sensor portfolio. The new sensor delivers performance in a very small package. Because of its small size and performance, the sensor is suitable for mobile phones, tablets or personal navigation devices. Magnetometer is also suited to indoor navigation applications where it calculates dead-reckoning when no satellite signal is available.

Sears Holdings Corporation (NASDAQ:SHLD) shares climbed 4.49% and closed at $47.47. The company, on Feb. 25, announced the launch of the VL6180, the first member of ST`s FlightSense family, which uses a new optical-sensing technology that reduces the incidence of dropped calls and enables new user interactions with smartphones. The VL6180 uses a proximity measuring technology to offer unprecedented accuracy and reliability in calculating the distance between the smartphone and the user. Instead of estimating distance by measuring the amount of light reflected back from the object, which is significantly influenced by color and surface, the sensor precisely measures the time the light takes to travel to the nearest object and reflect back to the sensor.

Bill Barrett Corporation (NYSE:BBG) shares increased 4.48% and closed at $18.18. Stifel Nicolaus maintained Bill Barrett with a Buy rating and lowered the price target from $24.00 to $22.00 on Feb. 22.

Additionally, the company, on Feb. 21, reported fourth-quarter net income of $14.0 million or $0.30 per share, compared to a loss of $37.8 million or $0.81 per share last year. Adjusted earnings for the quarter were $0.20 per share. Total operating and other revenues for the quarter dropped to $179.8 million from $208.5 million last year. Analysts expected earnings of $0.10 per share on revenue of $188.3 million for the quarter.
