Kolkata, West Bengal -- (SBWIRE) -- 09/16/2013 -- Specialpennystockalert.com, an investment community with a special focus on updating investors with recent news on the U.S. stock market, issues news alert on Baidu.com, Inc. (ADR)(NASDAQ:BIDU), Youku Tudou Inc (ADR) (NYSE:YOKU), Mosaic Co (NYSE:MOS).
Baidu.com, Inc. (ADR)(NASDAQ:BIDU) shares declined 1.29% to $142.64. Baidu Inc. (BIDU)’s travel-booking service Qunar.com Inc. is planning a U.S. initial public offering that may raise about $150 million, said two people with knowledge of the matter on Sept. 9.
Qunar, which runs China’s most popular mobile travel app, is working with Deutsche Bank AG and Goldman Sachs Group Inc. on the sale, said the people, who asked not to be identified because the process is private. An IPO may take place as early as in the fourth quarter, they said. Baidu, operator of China’s largest search engine, paid $306 million in 2011 for a majority stake in Qunar to tap the country’s growing travel market.

Youku Tudou Inc (ADR) (NYSE:YOKU) stock gained 8.93% to $26.83. The second annual Youku Original Masters' Short Film Project is once again an online smash, with its 25-minute long micro-films racking up 10 million views within first month, and so far more than 15,000 comments. Meanwhile, a breakout hit from last year's Project, the Tsai Ming-Liang-directed "Walker," recently snagged the Best Narrative Short Film Award at the Los Angeles Film Festival and qualified for Oscar competition.
Additionally, Deutsche Bank downgraded Youku Tudou with a $23 price target on August 12 citing delayed mobile monetization and a lack of catalysts following the company's Q2 results.

Additionally, MOS’s takeover prospects are diminishing after BHP Billiton Ltd. (BHP) renewed a commitment to building its own potash mine. BHP on August 22 said it plans to see the Jansen potash project through to production as it invests $2.6 billion and seeks partners, damping speculation that the world’s biggest mining company may still consider a purchase of fertilizer maker Mosaic. Mosaic’s enterprise value has fallen to $14.8 billion, about the same as the estimated cost of constructing Jansen, its first potash mine.
