Genworth Financial Inc(NYSE:GNW)shares decreased 2.37% to $12.38. Genworth Holdings, Inc., a direct subsidiary of Genworth Financial, Inc. (NYSE: GNW), on August 5 announced that it has priced a public offering of 10-year senior notes in an aggregate principal amount of $400 million with an interest rate of 4.900 percent per year. The notes will be fully and unconditionally guaranteed on an unsecured and unsubordinated basis by Genworth Financial, Inc.
The company, on July 30, said it second-quarter profit was $141 million, or 28 cents a share, up from $76 million, or 16 cents a share, a year earlier. Operating profit, which excludes some investment results was up at 27 cents a share, from 14 cents. Revenue declined 1.3% to $2.37 billion. Analysts recently projected per-share earnings of 29 cents on revenue of $2.44 billion.

American Capital Agency Corp. (NASDAQ:AGNC) shares dropped 1.37% to $22.35. The company on July 29 reported second-quarter net income to shareholders of $1.83 billion or $4.61 per share, compared to a loss of $264 million or $0.88 per share, prior year. Estimated REIT taxable income per common share was $1.04 for the quarter. Comprehensive loss to shareholders for the second quarter of 2013 was $939 million, or $2.37 per common share. Net interest income increased to $414 million, from $384 million last year.

ON Semiconductor Corp (NASDAQ:ONNN) stock declined 2.29% to $7.25. The company on August 1 announced that total revenues in the second quarter of 2013 were $688.3 million, up approximately four percent compared to the first quarter of 2013. During the second quarter of 2013, the company reported GAAP net income of $47.7 million, or $0.11 per diluted share. The second quarter 2013 GAAP net income was impacted by $9.5 million of special items.
