Island Air, a Honolulu-based carrier with a handful of island-hopping planes and about 245 employees, will not make any staff changes as part of the sale and will continue normal operations.

Affymax, Inc. (NASDAQ:AFFY) augmented 1.13% and closed at $2.68. Baird downgraded Affymax, Inc. from outperform to neutral with a price target of $4.00. Affymax, Inc. is a biopharmaceutical company engaged in developing drugs to improve the treatment of serious and often life-threatening conditions. Its product candidate, peginesatide is for the treatment of anemia in chronic kidney disease patients on dialysis.

Rowan Companies PLC (NYSE:RDC) increased 1.13% and closed at $34.98. The Company reported fourth quarter net income of $54.1 million or $0.44 per share from $45.1 million or $0.36 per share for the quarter. Net income from continuing operations increased to $70.5 million or $0.57 per share from $33.1 million or $0.27 per share last year. The analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.48 per share for the quarter. Revenues totaled $354.2 million, up from $275.1 million last year. Analysts expected revenues of $356.64 million.
