VoiceAmerica Kids’ internet talk radio program, Our Future Is Missing, has returned home safely 24 children in the program’s two year history.
Phoenix, AZ -- (SBWIRE) -- 01/14/2014 -- Voice America Talk Radio Network, Internet broadcasting pioneer, producing and syndicating online audio and video, today announced Our Future is Missing, a VoiceAmerica Kids and KIDSTAR program and website dedicated to finding missing and exploited children and adults, recovered and delivered safely home their seventeenth missing child.
Our Future is Missing is a 24 hour a day 7 day a week “Amber Alert” launched in 2012 with information on missing children and adults in the United States. Each week VoiceAmerica Kids hosts read names and details from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children on air and post pictures and information on OurFutureIsMissing.com in a combined effort to assist in the recovery of missing people.
Perry Damone, founder of KIDSTAR and Executive Producer for VoiceAmerica Kids founded the program in 2012 for the VoiceAmerica Kids Channel and then migrated the effort over to the KIDSTAR website to increase the exposure and chances for recovery.
Mr. Damone stated, “I wanted to add to the current paradigm from adults talking about missing children, posters displaying missing children and information, to children looking for children. In my opinion, Our Future is Missing is the most powerful content search delivery program on the air. We now have 10 to 19 year olds actively looking for missing children of their own age.”
The latest child was the 24th child in the program, found on New Year’s Eve, and was read by VoiceAmerica’s host of “The Angel and Harmoy Show”, 13 year old Harmony Hagadorn.
Mr. Damone also stated, “As of 2012, Our Future is Missing has been part of a nationwide effort with NCMEC and we are excited and blessed that VoiceAmerica has been devoted in their efforts and focused on the recovery of children. All 17 children have been on our air 24 hours a day 7 days a week until they are recovered.”
Jeff Spenard, President of VoiceAmerica and World Talk Radio stated, “With our network and channels, we have a dedicated and ever-growing audience. It only makes sense we use this means to get out information on missing children and adults and bring them back safely home. Our Future is Missing is not just a sign on the highway it is in fact a 24 hour a day, 7 day a week Amber Alert on our channels, websites and blog. People find our site through the total effort from all of the VoiceAmerica Network sites and channels.”
