The Global Certification Forum has confirmed the news of the launch of the first Asus tablet with Intel Corporation(NASDAQ:INTC) processor, which is going to be called Asus Fonepad. However, still there is a little doubt about the name of the Asus tablet.

The GCF also confirmed that the Fonepad (model number ME371MG) has 3G connectivity but no LTE (at least the model tested by GCF does not have it).

As per earlier reports, the Fonepad will run on Android Jelly Bean, has 1.2GHz Z2420 Intel Processor, and one PowerVR SGX540 graphics. Other features include a 7-inch IPS display with 1280 X 800 pixels, 1.2MP front camera, and 3MP rear camera, 1GB RAM, MicroSD card support, 8GB/16GB /32 GB of internal memory, 4.270 mAh battery, and an aluminum case.

It is doubtful whether Asus Fonepad will be launched next week at MWC 2013 or at a later date. In any of the cases, it is expected that the tablet will be up for sale by April or May.

Asus is expected to launch a new 10-inch tablet, the Memo Pad 10 very soon. This tablet runs on Android Jelly Bean and has a quad-core Nvidia Tegra processor.

Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG)is slowly and gradually making announcements about Google Glass, revealing more details about it. In a recent video released by Google, it is shown how Google Glass is used in real world situations.

Reportedly, Google will hand out Google Glass units to non-developer types and it means that users will get more details about the product. To get a Google Glass unit, you need to apply first. Also, an amount of $1,500 needs to be paid in order to grab a Google Glass unit.
