Oklahoma City, OK -- (SBWIRE) -- 12/26/2013 -- Jared Dopp became a name that everybody at the ADCC and the Submission Wrestling world will remember for a long time to come. This young Purple Belt who studied under renown Rafael Lovato, Jr., showed the world what he is made out of as he defeated World Champion Black Belt Leo Nogueira along with the defending ADCC Champion Vinny Magalhaes. Jared is the 2012 World Champion Blue Belt with and without the gi, and this was his first professional tournament. Jared made a tremendous showing for Team Lovato.

Jared credits his training with Rafael Lovato, Jr. for the great conditioning and refined skills he developed. During a recent interview, Jared had this to say: "Training with Rafael is something that has to be experienced. There’s nothing like training with someone who is one of the best in the world. Training never gets stagnant, since Rafael is such an active competitor, we’re always learning new things and constantly getting better."

Jared entered the ADCC North American Trials with one thing in mind, and that was winning his way into the ADCC Finals in Beijing, China. He won his division and defeated two BJJ Black Belts, which was no easy task. That cemented his ticket into the ADCC Finals. He earned a spot to represent his country and Team Lovato, and is very proud of himself, as are the team members at Lovato’s School in Oklahoma City.
