The Hard Rock AC is the seventh Atlantic City casino to launch a sportsbook where patrons will be able to wager on sports both at the physical casino location and on mobile apps.

Neva Pryor, the Executive Director of the Council on Compulsive Gambling of New Jersey, chimes in on the addition of yet another sportsbook to the state's many casinos, stating, "A new sportsbook means more betting opportunities for gamblers; however, the main solution is going to be vigilance. Prior to the Hard Rock AC obtaining a sportsbook, the hotel was only involved in sports betting in a licensing capacity. This is due to the branding partnership they had with the NFL, who named the Miami Dolphins football stadium the Hard Rock Stadium. However, as of October 12, 2018, the hotel has contracted with the Gaming Innovation Group for the provision of an omnichannel sportsbook.

It may have taken the Hard Rock AC a little longer than its neighbors to institute a full-blown sportsbook into their casino, but if all goes as planned, the sportsbook is slated to be live for customers sometime in the fourth quarter of this year.
