The Climb Foundation, a Tulsa-based Non-Profit, helps college graduates pursue their passion, fulfill their purpose, and achieve excellence in small business and entrepreneurship through micro-loans, working capital, and continuing education.

Tulsa, OK -- (SBWIRE) -- 03/31/2014 -- The CLIMB Foundation, a Tulsa-based non-profit organization is dedicated to its purpose of “Empowering College Graduates to Succeed. The organization fulfills its purpose by providing micro-loans, working capital, and ongoing consultation to college graduates throughout the entrepreneurial process.

Executive Director of Fundraising, Nathan Mitchell, says, “We are committed to helping aspiring entrepreneurs and current business owners be more successful. At the end of the day, we want to help college graduates have the opportunity to pursue their passion, fulfill their purpose, and achieve excellence in the world of free enterprise.”

CLIMB, which stands for “Collegiate Leaders Impacting Modern Business,” helps entrepreneurs obtain the working capital they need, as well as offers scholarships for those individuals looking to continue their learning and professional development once they’ve left the traditional classroom.

“We want to help college grads be better business owners, managers and leaders,” continues Mitchell. “There are numerous workshops, seminars, coaching, and mentorship programs that are out there; unfortunately, many people aren’t in a financial position to take advantage of them.”

Studies show the average costs of starting a business can range from $10,000 to $30,000 or more depending upon the nature of the business and the industry. Many college graduates have student loan obligations, and are not in a position financially to continue investing in themselves and business opportunities that ultimately help fuel economic growth and development. According to Mitchell, the CLIMB Foundation is committed to changing that.

The Foundation, which was just organized this year, is in the process of applying for 501(c)3 status, and is looking for financial donors who believe in the vision, and who are willing to contribute to its cause.
