The Green Deal Is Not for Everyone

Merseyside, England -- (SBWIRE) -- 02/11/2013 -- Director of the National Home Improvement Council Andrew Leech has claimed that while the Green Deal is undoubtedly a positive step towards greener homes in the UK, the scheme will not be suitable for everybody.

He stated: "[The] Green Deal needs careful consideration because it's not going to be everybody's cup of tea. But it does offer a firm solution to bringing your home up to a respectable energy efficiency standard."

Mr Leech added that a focus on simple measures like loft and cavity wall insulation can often be the best course of action for individuals keen to boost the energy of their property.

The Green Deal was officially launched for the UK public last month, with the initiative offering property-linked low-interest loans for the provision of sustainable home improvements.

A number of accredited Green Deal assessors and providers have already been trained, meaning anyone interested in the initiative should seek out accredited providers in their area for more information.
