Germantown, TN -- (SBWIRE) -- 05/02/2018 -- Hair restoration or hair transplant is a simple procedure designed to help with male pattern baldness and female hair loss. Hair restoration involves transplanting the roots of the hair and can be performed with a couple of different techniques.

Dr. Langsdon uses two techniques for hair transplantation: Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) and Strip method. The FUE method involves taking individual hair follicular units directly from the scalp and placing them in areas where hair is desired. This method works best in smaller areas where not much hair is needed. There is minimal downtime, no staples, scalp incisions, or scarring. The Strip method uses donor hair from a strip of tissue taken from the back of the scalp. There is a small linear incision made that is easily concealed.
