Cape May, NJ -- (SBWIRE) -- 12/23/2013 -- The timing couldn’t have been any better for this year’s Candlelight tour as over 700 visitors took part in this 11-year old tradition sponsored by the Cape May Mid-Atlantic Arts Council. The visitors were not only treated to a trip down history lane but also a taste of what is to come with the recent renovations and decorations in time for the holidays at the inn.
Over 15 Inns and private homes took part in the tour package. Visitors were treated to a short history of the Inn and Cape May during a 3-hour tour of the Inn. Visitors were also given the chance to check out four of the guest rooms and provided details on the themes of the guest rooms. Susan was the tour guide who led the visitors and answered all their questions.
The last part of the tour ended in the “brain center” of the Inn which we commonly call the Kitchen. The kitchen was just fresh out of a recent renovation and the visitors were the first to lay eyes on the recently renovated kitchen. The visitors were then taken to the dining and great rooms to enjoy Christmas decorations and holiday treats prepared for the candlelight tour.
The Mission Inn wishes all a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and a healthy New Year!
