Think Box Media's Newest Project with GoDaddy Promotes .NYC Domains on a Barge Sailing the Hudson

Freeport, NY -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/24/2017 -- Think Box Media is not only one of the highest quality large format digital printing companies serving Brooklyn and NYC Metro area; they are unique experts capable of tackling projects of any scale. That is why when GoDaddy and an ad agency approached them with an out-of-the-water guerilla marketing tactic, Think Box Media was excited to get started.

Their goal was to promote GoDaddy's new .nyc domains. However, all across New York City, many other ads were also being displayed from a separate campaign via five taxis driving through the city in each borough with cab fares paid, as well as an event held outside of Madison Square Park. Despite this, the largest international registrar, GoDaddy, was not about to be shown up, and Think Box Media was just the company to turn to for high-quality printing services in New York with quality results.

Together, they created a humorous and quirky banner that read: ".NYC Domains At GoDaddy. Shhh – Don't Tell New Jersey." Six shipping containers were stacked on a barge to display the large format print, which then sailed the Hudson facing away from the opposing state of New Jersey. This one-of-a-kind approach to promote GoDaddy's .nyc domains definitely had people not just noticing, but also having "a good time with it," according to Will Sliger, VP of Brand Management at GoDaddy.

Already the .nyc domain is seeing success, with 1,000 more domain names projected for the future. Think Box Media's bold and beautiful banner was a factor that made that strong impact.
