Online in-dash Android system brings the internet, streaming music and thousands of apps into the car!
Shenzhen, China -- (SBWIRE) -- 08/20/2013 -- The Internet has brought huge changes to the world, but very little to a car. Many motorists had dreamed of driving a “smart car” that not only provides simple navigation and music, but also can enjoy newest Apps like Google Now voice control, Waze real traffic information, Spotify and many more.
Car Makers like FORD are trying to do this, but very in slow progress. Now, the 4-person development team took the challenge and plan to make this motorists’ dream come true.
Tablets and smart phones have been put on trials in the test vehicle and the result has not been satisfactory. So, the team designed 2 DIN head unit built-in to the vehicle’s in-dash panel. They have finished all the design, aging test and road test of this Android in-dash system. They are able to provide dedicated head units for over 60 car models, and in addition 2 DIN universal designs for a number of car models with square shape head units. Now, they need funding support to put them into a production line so they can bring the smart car on the road.
Funding support will help Thomas and Shun to take a solid step towards putting their project into batch production. With funding support available already, they would now move forward to start batch production of a minimum 100 units per batch. The funds will be used to produce minimum dedicated parts and the first batch of common parts.
This campaign has already raised $12,981, surpassing the funding goal of $10,000.
