(NYSE:AVP) shares soared more than 20.31% to US$20.79 with more than 32.19 million shares traded compared to its average volume of 6.11 million shares. On February 12, the company announced its fourth quarter revenue dipped 1% to US$3 billion. Avon is planning to cut its business at the South Korean and Vietnamese markets which can save about US$400 million per year by the end of 2015.

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) shares began the trading session with a price of US$479.51 and throughout the session climbed to a high of US$482.38.
