The firm has 11 plants throughout the country operating in the areas of diagnostics, medical devices, nutritionals and branded generic pharmaceuticals.

Dole Food Company, Inc. (NYSE:DOLE) today announced that it expects the sale of its worldwide packaged foods and Asia fresh businesses to ITOCHU Corporation for $1.685 billion in cash, now to be completed in early 2013. The sale transaction is still waiting for China regulatory approval, with the required regulatory approvals from the other six countries already received.

Michael Kors Holdings Ltd (NYSE:KORS) shares increased 3.76% and closed at $51.03. Michael Kors had its price target lifted by Ladenburg Thalmann from $70.00 to $48.50 in a research report sent to investors on Dec. 28. They also set a $48.50 stop loss on their recommendation. Additionally, analysts at Citigroup cut their price target on shares of Michael Kors Holdings Ltd from $68.00 to $60.00 in a research note to investors this month. They now have a buy rating on the stock.

Jabil Circuit, Inc. (NYSE:JBL) shares increased 3.65% and closed at $19.29. The company announced its preliminary, unaudited financial results for the first quarter of fiscal year 2013. The company reported first quarter revenue of $4.6 billion. Jabil’s Diversified Manufacturing Services business grew 20% in the first quarter of fiscal 2013 when compared to results of the first quarter of fiscal year 2012. The company’s Enterprise & Infrastructure business increased 17% from the first quarter of fiscal year 2012 while Jabil’s High Velocity business declined 20% during the first quarter of fiscal year 2013, as compared to fiscal 2012.
