Triangle Sprinkler Systems recently worked on a property featured on Grand Designs' landmark 100th episode. A cross between modern living and a listed building, Triangle nonetheless carried out the work brilliantly.
London, UK -- (SBWIRE) -- 08/20/2013 -- It's always great having your business recognised. And recognition was certainly on the cards for Triangle Fire Systems when there was an ambitious project to convert Lambeth Water Tower into a family home. The project spared no expense and was on such a large scale that Channel 4's Grand Designs got involved to film it all.
The project itself was always going to be ambitious and indeed it was with the total spend of the project costing nearly £2.5million. Triangle Fire Systems were brought in to oversea the design and installation of the domestic sprinkler system that would span the whole 9 floors of the building.
This can be something of a problem at times, especially considering that the building they had to work with was completely derelict beforehand. Another challenge with this design is that, over the course of 9 floors, there was also a completely new structure being built. Nicknamed “The Cube”, this was intended to be the modern living space for anyone who wanted to move into this property.
This mix of Grade II listed building and ultra modern living space was a hurdle that Triangle easily vaulted. They did this by seamlessly integrating their Sprinkler System design team and their engineers on-site whilst the build was going on. This way, the engineers could point out what was actually possible, and the design team could set out the blueprints for it.
Once the blueprints were complete, Triangle's team of Sprinkler system engineers set to work and had no problem at all installing the complex arrangement of pipes and valves required for such a unique build. The work was carried out swiftly and efficiently with Triangle leaving on great terms with the owners of the water tower.
Another feather to add to the cap of this achievement is the fact that the property build was so complex, it was saved and used in the 100th episode of Grand Designs. The property itself has also been touted as “the most lavish and eccentric property in the city”.
So if ever find yourself needing sprinklers installed on a property you own, rest assured that you'll be in safe hands with Triangle Sprinkler Systems.
