Snacksandlunch.com is created with busy parents in mind to help them compile custom seasonal and nutritious menus based on their children's dietary needs and preferences.
Los Angeles, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 08/15/2013 -- Like many American parents Valerie Delahaye is particularly worried about her children's health and well being especially amid the rise to epidemic levels of so-called "lifestyle diseases" - the tragically preventable causes of most American deaths.
The solution Valerie found was to get directly involved with her children's daily food intake, a task that was daunting and time consuming, as it was especially challenging to meet their dietary needs. When she embarked on this journey she did not realize how overwhelming it would be between planning, reading labels, shopping for, prepping and organizing the daily meals that her children would take to school.
Snacksandlunch.com offers parents and caretakers a fully interactive and customizable tool to plan out a varied and nutritional menu and grocery list based on their children's unique dietary needs. The interface is largely image-based, so that the website is accessible internationally and designed to involve children in the lunch-making process.
Parents can create an account for all their children and choose from a menu to customize their dietary needs and preferences on an individual basis. Designed with the help of a nutritionist, it includes options for entering religious prescripts, food allergies, food sensitivities and/or medical requirements, and also allows for the elimination of particular food items.
Sufficient funding will enable Valerie Delahaye to hire:
- Design expert and programmer to finalize the design and user interface of the website
- Testing committee so that the website can be ready for a global launch by September/October 2013
- a sales team to provide advertising, and a steady source of funds to provide resources for the potential growth of the website
This campaign will receive all funds raised even if it does not reach its goal. Funding duration: July 23, 2013 - September 09, 2013 (11:59pm PT).
