The company, on Jan. 16, announced it has agreed to sell an aggregate of $105 million principal amount of 2.50% convertible senior notes due 2017 and 13.5 million shares of common stock at a price to the public of $9.90 per share in concurrent underwritten public offerings. The company estimates net proceeds from the concurrent offerings to be approximately $228.1 million.

AMR Corporation (PINK: AAMRQ) moved up 0.81% and closed at $1.25 on a traded volume of 1.81 million shares. American Airlines and Alaska Airlines announced that the two airlines are strengthening their relationship by adding new codeshare routes that will offer customers even more choices and benefits when traveling throughout the United States.
