Family bickers over memoirs and memory of Whitney Houston
San Francisco, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 02/21/2013 -- According to reports, Cissy Houston, who is the mother of the late Whitney Houston, is unhappy with Clive Davis inviting her to his annual Grammy party.
Cissy lost her daughter last year just hours before she was supposed to perform at the showcase. Cissy stated that she will not be attending the party, and that he is appalled that received an invitation.
“I got an invitation to the party — which is the most obscene thing,” she told Access Hollywood “I don’t know why they would want me to come to the party in which she died, you know? Unheard of.”
She added, “I guess maybe he just sent me a copy for remembrance sake.”
While the unveiling of the new wax figure of her daughter at the Madame Tussaud's in New York City, she commented that her granddaughter, Bobbi Kristina's slamming the the memoir.
Bobbi Kristina had stated upon twitter regarding Remembering Whitney, “Anything concerning my grandmother's book, I and Nick Gordon of course personally have nothing to do with. I ask you please respect that. Haven't read and won't."
She added, "I find it to be disrespect to my mother and me, being her daughter, won't tolerate it. I know the truth. Her ... oblivious and out of line wrong. But it's all good and nothing but love, my mother taught me better than that."
But Cissy said of her comments, “She’s grieving. [She’s] really grieving. Bobbi Kris knows — she better know — that I love her. Anything I can do for her, I’ll be there. I wouldn’t say anything [bad] about my daughter. That’s MY daughter, whom I loved with all my heart.”
She added “I love Krissy because she belongs to my daughter, all right? I think that she’s just grieving. That’s the only other thing I can say about it.”
