World Health Organization called a meeting to frame regulatory guidelines on e cig in different countries to keep a check on e cig usage.
Dallas, TX -- (SBWIRE) -- 09/13/2013 -- E Cig industry is once again under the scanner; this time it’s WHO which intends to frame certain regulatory guidelines in order to keep a tab on e cig usage. Angela Patt, WHO representative expressed that e cig market, may see a raging increase in growth and popularity. Currently there is little research on the health impact of the long term use of e cigarettes so it is required to frame guidelines.
Speaking in the international conference on public health priorities in the 21st century, Patt said, "The market of e-cigarette has increased to $3 billion in the past 12 months, and it is being said that the inevitable future of tobacco lies in e-cigarette. The sale of vapor cigarette has increased too and it is being said that e cig might just overpower the tobacco industry in times to come.
E cigarette is a battery driven nicotine delivery device which is meant to simulate and substitute tobacco smoking. There is not much data or research available on long-term impact of e cig but going by e cig reviews from experts and users it is clear that people review e cig as a far better product then tobacco. There are states which have already imposed certain regulations on e cig.
Expert at DigitalSmoke.org say, “Electronic cigarette brands welcome any important and required guidelines coming from WHO and along with that the makers of e cig brands are going for self regulations and conduct frequent test on samples to assure customer of the quality of the product they are buying”. Electronic cigarette has not yet been given a clean chit by F.D.A as there is not much research available but users are clearly in favor of the product.
DigitalSmoke.Org is a leading e cigarette review site that aims to inform e cigarette smokers about the best e cig brands available, based on reviews that are conducted in an impartial manner that does not favor any maker and distributor.
