Woman Seeks Divorce After Husband Hires Hitman to Kill Her Reports ReedRiordan.com

San Francisco, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/15/2012 -- Nancy Howard is seeking a divorce from her husband after accusing him of hiring a hitman who shot her in the face, which resulted with her in a temporary coma.

Frank Howard, the woman’s husband, is seeking reconciliation and states he does not believe his wife really wants to split up.

“He has three beautiful children, a long marriage with a lovely wife who does not want to divorce him,” his attorney, Arch McColl, said. “She's indicated that in writing."

Mrs. Howard filed for divorce following her waking from a coma following the attack, which took place on August 18 outside her home in Dallas. The shot to her face narrowly missed her eye.

Mr. Howard accused of spending more than $100,000 while attempting to acquire a series of hitmen to off his wife. The motive seems to be that he wanted to be capable of running away with his mistress.

The husband denies ever hiring the failed hitman, but he did admit to a three-year affair with the mistress.

Brank records seem to indicate that Howard spend hundreds-of-thousands on his mistress, even buying her a house and covering portions of college tuition.

A defense contractor Mr. Howard claims he embezzled millions for the affair, hiring the hit man, and is now suing him.

Frank Howard is free on a $1 million bail. He is officially charged with solicitation of murder. The accused man was still wearing in wedding ring has he entered court Tuesday. His wife seems to be looking forward to living life without the soon-to-be ex-husband.

"I am thankful. Thankful that I have life,” she told WFAA-TV. “That's going to be a great future.”
