The last man on earth, William, an artist, revolutionizes his artistic practice away from society's eyes and channels uncensored art straight from his soul.
Port Macquarie, Australia -- (SBWIRE) -- 08/28/2013 -- ‘The Last Artist’ is a heartfelt animated drama about finding the courage to create art so personal that one wouldn’t dream of sharing it with anyone.
Expressing oneself fully is at the core of the script and is intrinsic to William, the only character in the post-apocalyptic world of the film. Writing the script Allysha felt a kindred spirit to what William was going through and her own life. William loses everything in his life as the world comes to an abrupt end, including his beloved wife and after a short recovery creates a system of survival to shield him from the pain. He throws himself into creating a huge mural of his beloved wife, to which he devotes the majority of his time.
$10000 is the amount Allysha could make this film with all the excesses of a typical Hollywood production, her realistic goal would be that she’d raise half of that so that she can make a film, that, may have all the excesses trimmed, but is still of a high enough caliber to compete on a world stage alongside animations from large established companies.
This campaign will receive all funds raised even if it does not reach its goal. Funding duration: August 19, 2013 - October 18, 2013 (11:59pm PT).
