What is a BEKK Blanklet? It’s the new infant outerwear that provides a safer solution to buntings and bulky car seat implements.

New York, NY -- (SBWire) -- 04/04/2014 --It has been widely reported that adding bulky snowsuits or extra layers to infants and toddlers before buckling them into a car seat can cause serious injury in the event of a crash. Newcomer BEKK Blanklets solves the problem, providing a hassle-free way to keep baby safe & cozy and parents less stressed.

A Blanklet is a new type of outerwear, designed to be slipped on and off the child after they are securely buckled into their car seat or stroller. Saving parents time, effort and worry, the infant or toddler can now be warm in their seat while still able to move arms and head freely. Thus, Blanklets cultivate less fussing, less overheating, less stress on little ones; and safer, faster, and far more peaceful travels for Mom & Dad.

The bonus? It can be put on or taken off in less than 10 seconds, even when the baby’s asleep. Running errands and window shopping are no longer a sweaty, cranky hassle.

The inspiration for Blanklets wasn’t a lightning bolt. It was an idea born out of frustration. Like many new parents, every time they left the house, Barbara Gould would wrestle her infant into one contraption or another. Then wrestle the now larger package into the car seat or stroller harness, causing re-adjustments to the harness every time, and the baby to fuss.

Barbara decided there had to be an easier way to travel with a little one, and designed the Blanklet – half blanket, half jacket - to fit over the car seat OR stroller harnesses.

The very first time they used it, eight people in rapid succession asked Barbara where she got it. BEKK Blanklets was born, and word has been spreading quickly!

BEKK Blanklets is ready to hit the next level of distribution. In order to get them into more stores and onto more babies, Barbara Gould, a single mother of three, was struggling to figure out where enough funds to manufacture the blanklets on a larger scale would come from.

Enter The KICKSTARTR Project! Gould hopes to raise the funds necessary to help this product end up on a lot more babies! This project will only be funded if at least $6,000 is pledged by Mon, Apr 14 2014 11:50 PM EDT.
