Clutch housing is also known as bell housing as it looks a somewhat similar to the shape of the bell. The key function of the clutch housing is to protect the clutch and flywheel mechanism from the dirt, water and pollution of the environment. Clutch housing is bolted to the engine block and is usually made up of metals such as cast iron or aluminium. Clutch housing is manufactured by cold forming of thick metals.
