About Robert Glaser
A native of Rochester, New York, Robert V. Glaser has more than forty years working in banking and private equity. His experience includes commercial banking, United States foreign direct investments, corporate acquisitions and divestments, the arrangement of bank and subordinated debt financing, and overseeing management teams of operating companies via the board of directors. Glaser also has extensive experience working abroad, particularly in Europe and the Middle East. Throughout his life and care, he has visited over thirty different countries around the world.

Mr. Glaser spent ten years of his life working at The Chase Manhattan Bank, N.A. Post training, he initially concentrated on Chase's domestic middle market corporate lending group. His clients consisted of oriental carpet importers, distributors, art galleries and restaurants such as Tavern on the Green, Maxwell's Plum, the Russian Tea Room and Benihana of Tokyo, to name a few. Glaser eventually transitioned to Chase's international department and moved to the Middle East, lived in Bahrain and travelled in the region, particularly to Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Yemen. In his initial assignment in the Middle East was to be responsible for Chase Manhattan's relationships with several Middle Eastern governments and he marketed units of those governments to achieve lending and investment opportunities. He was also responsible for Chase's political and economic risk analysis for those countries. Glaser then ran Chase's business with financial institutions - Central Banks, Ministries of Finance, investment firms, insurance companies and commercial banks - in 8 countries.

Mr. Glaser then was part of the original senior management team of Investcorp, an investment firm that focused on direct investments in companies in real estate in the United States and Europe.

Robert Glaser has done extensive work with various charitable causes over the years, which include the homeless assistance Chapman Partnership, the nonprofit St. Thomas University, and the National YoungArts Foundation. He was a board member of the Peter S. Castle Foundation, a Rochester, NY charity that raised funds to help underprivileged children in honor of Peter Castle – a high school classmate and friend of Glaser. He also launched the Mary Louise Bates Scholarship Program in 2001 which is named after his mother. The scholarship offered financial help to children who wish to attend the Maplewood Family YMCA located in Rochester, New York.
