London, UK -- (SBWire) -- 10/21/2014 --A collective of dog artists are now taking commissions for paintings of dogs dressed in military uniform and period costume.

The London-based collective Dog Artists’ recent commissions have included dogs painted as Elizabeth I, Abe Lincoln and The Count of Monte Cristo. All of the group’s dog paintings are hand-painted with oils onto canvas.

The Dogs in Uniform collection can be viewed at http://www.dogartists.co.uk/dogs-in-uniform-paintings.

Clients who commission a portrait of their dog in uniform can choose the attire they want their dog painted in to suit his or her personality and character. Anyone who orders a dog painting simply emails a photo of their dog along with notes about the desired attire and an image of the clothing. Within four weeks, the portrait will be painted and a high resolution photo of the oil painting will be emailed for approval. Changes can then be requested.

Once final approval is made, the painting will be mailed to the client. Worldwide shipping is available.

“Our dogs in uniform paintings are our most popular commission,” said Anouska Bertram, Director of Dog Artists.“Dog owners love the fact that they can choose to have their dog painted in the attire that best suits their dog’s character. It’s unique, very bespoke and fun.”
