Meet Captain Dennis Forgione

No other charter captain in the City of Miami has the extensive history that Dennis Forgione has. Captain Dennis has caught numerous fish near Haulover Inlet for decades. As a child, he would go out on the Tiki drift boat with his father, Captain Frank Forgione. The boat remained in operation from 1957 to 1995 out of Haulover Marina.

Miami Beach, FL -- (SBWire) -- 05/30/2019 --With the help of a good friend, Dennis Forgione was able to obtain the 25-foot Mako in 1986, his first boat. The vessel was used for commercial fishing and, to a lesser degree, charters. Four years later, Forgione bought the 25-foot, twin engine Dusky and decided to become a captain himself. Forgione would go on to upgrade his Free Spool to a custom built inboard motor fishing boat spanning just over thirty feet.

During his illustrious career, Forgione has led many anglers to IFGA world records. He is also a winner in both the Miami and Fort Lauderdale Billfish fishing tournaments.

Today, Dennis Forgione captains a 40+ foot custom built sport fishing wonder. Features of the boat include a 30' tuna tower, a quartet of cockpit chairs, and much more. The boat was originally called the "How Bout It" from Islamorada, among the most successful charter fishing tournament boats in the Florida Keys.
