Burbank, CA -- (SBWire) -- 06/30/2015 --A rumor has been going around Hollywood stating that the series 13 Witches was to be bought by Netflix for the record amount of $200 millions and Kim Kardashian would play a lead role in the show. The Hollywood Reporter seems to confirm the story.
13 Witches is a low budget Web series written and produced by the actress Sabine Mondestin (suicide squad) which has gain a huge cult following online and over 100 millions views worldwide. The series attracted the Hollywood studios attention after The New York Times mentioned the show in an article on March 6 2013 (Witches Lose the Warts), the article talk about the new witches beauty trend quoting Angilina Jolie in the movie "Maleficent". Netflix seems to have won the negotiations over the big studios with this very attracting offer for the series creator.
According to an interviews given to Access Hollywood last year Kim Kardashian meet Sabine Mondestin in an Oscars after party where she heard about the project and express her interest in playing the part of Andromeda the closest witch sister of Nemesis played by Sabine. Kim told the journalist that "Andromeda is the character that can prove I'm a talented and serious actress".
The remake of 13 Witches script is to be base on the Web series and is schedule to start shooting early next year. All the original characters are apparently to be recast accept for the part of Nemesis. We don't know yet about the Netflix release date.
