Pasadena, CA -- (SBWire) -- 09/15/2011 --In a speech on Thursday, President Barack Obama disclosed the American Jobs Act, the $447 billion plan to put the country back to toil. An alarm that the new jobs plan possibly will drain off jobs from one of the few industries still recruiting - healthcare industry.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, there were about 74,000 jobs created in healthcare sector last year. But this plan might have an opposite effect on the healthcare sector. To pay for $447 billion jobs package it needs extra savings. And to do that, it is most likely to propose more cuts for Medicare and Medicaid than it would have done otherwise.

A wide array of squeeze and stick for the two federal health programs, Medicare and Medicaid, that persisted to compel government expenditure, were suggested this April. But none of those plans has capitulated substantial legislation. A list of potential cuts that add up to more than $500 billion is released by the House Ways and Means Committee's Democratic staff.

Protective measures were taken by the American Hospital Association, releasing a study that estimated nearly 194,000 job cuts if the committee failed to find the required funds.

Those cuts would transform to a strike of about $41 billion for hospitals over 10 years and slow down what has been strong employment growth.
