Pasadena, CA -- (SBWire) -- 10/21/2011 --Pillsbury is moving to Nashville, the music city. The firm doesn't plan to accommodate corner offices for recruiting new partners. It is expected that Pillsbury will be shifting the back office functions like finance, information technology, word processing and new client intake to the country music capital by 2012.

It is not only planning to offer current employees an opportunity to move to Nashville, but also looking forward to recruit nearly 150 employees in the new office. For employees currently associated with Pillsbury and affected by the move, the firm plans to conduct tours of the city to show off its assets. But those who don't choose e tour, it is offering an improved separation package and job search assistance.

The firm O'Melveny & Myers' also has plans to cut down its staff by 75, nationwide, and to outsource some of the work from West Virginia provider. The decision came after the firm shook up its management ranks, which include naming a new chairman and several new practice group leaders. The firm plans to outsource certain functions as a part of its restructuring. O'Melveny plans to aid the laid off staff with financial as well as other support.
