London, UK -- (SBWire) -- 12/02/2014 --Over the years, the importance of mobile phones in people's lives has grown consistently. However, even though mobile phone security continues to be a significant concern for mobile phone users and the police alike, it still remains extremely difficult to find a solution that is effective. Melinky is not only a highly effective solution for mobile security, it is also beautiful.
Melinky has been created to redefine the concept of real mobile phone security and is one of the most convenient handbag accessories ever invented. Ladies carrying their mobile phones in handbags complain that they often miss important calls because of not being able to reach their phones in time. It is true that retrieving a mobile phone from the depths, pockets and corners of a handbag on a daily basis can be frustrating and time-consuming so jewelry designer and artist Heidi Bouwer created Melinky to solve this.
In its very early stage, Melinky was known as the Call Catcher. After receiving reasonable success in South Africa where it started life, Call Catcher was ready for its UK debut as Melinky in 2009. After making the first two Melinky ranges in South Africa, Heidi and friend Deborah decided to shift production to the UK to make their product more economical. Design and assembly of Melinky are now done in the North of England, in Morecambe Bay.
Melinky is made with a very high quality cord that attaches to the phone at one end and through a beautiful and decorative bead section and ring at the other. This then clips to either to the Melinky silver-plated snake chain or Melinky leather lanyard and from there can attach to handbags and jeans. Melinky can attach to any mobile either via the charm clip found around the phone casing or behind the battery panel, or for those phones without this facility it attaches via any mobile phone case.
The beautiful Kickstarter models of Melinky consist of plated metal beads, black onyx, Czech fire polished beads and facet cut multi-colored crystals and Swarovski Elements crystal rondelles. The UK production and delivery team of Melinky is led by Deborah Mahs. Proceeds from Kickstarter will help them start production and test the production process. Funds will also be used for marketing and promotion.
This Kickstarter campaign will end on January 10, 2015.
