Barbeque Downs, Gauteng -- (SBWire) -- 04/02/2015 --NFS Technology Group, the company behind roomMaster, a powerful hotel software utilised by British hotels, has reacted to a new industry forecast which predicts strong growth in the UK into 2016.

The prediction was made by PwC who say that record rates and occupancy in the regions and London is sit to continue for several years. More specifically, they predicted that RevPAR in London will grow to 4.6% this year, with a record high of 84% occupancy and £144 ADR achieved. In 2016, they say London can expect 4.7% growth and an ADR of £151.

The regions however should achieve 76% occupancy this year and next with ADR to rise by 4.4% and 4.6% and RevPAR by 5.4% and 5.1% for each respective year.

NFS Technology Group, the company behind popular hotel software roomMaster, believes improving hotel service driven by software and successful tourism campaigns are helping to fuel growth in the capital and elsewhere.

A spokeswoman for the company said: "The hospitality sector in the UK has witnessed positive growth over the last several years, particularly hotels, and like PwC we're confident that this will continue for 2015 and 2016. With more people choosing to travel the UK, and more people in the UK choosing to holiday at home, it's not surprising that hotel figures are as strong as they are at the moment.

"We also believe that one of the biggest drivers of growth is the improving standards of hotels. Hoteliers are now understanding the importance of and really beginning to utilise cutting edge software solutions, like our popular roomMaster suite.

"Hotels in the UK are some of the best in the world and customers can thank the increasing use of hotel software for that."

PwC head of hospitality, Liz Hall, explained: "The hotel sector faces plenty of challenges and geopolitical uncertainties. But we are optimistic in its ability to compete, adapt and succeed; especially now economic fundamentals of rising prosperity and increased globalisation have re-asserted themselves following the financial crisis.

"There are new trends that hoteliers need to consider and start to adapt to in 2015 and beyond. For example, the increasing potential for hotels to use robots and Artificial Intelligence to cut costs and improve the customer experience and to introduce new smartphone enabled technology. With pressure on rates continuing, we expect hotels to continue to find innovative ways to reduce costs in order to maintain their margins and customer experience."
