Mobile, AL -- (SBWire) -- 05/04/2015 --Alabama real estate sales in March 2015 were unaffected from last year. In line with seasonal developments, real estate sales enhanced by 32.4% or 82 units from the preceding month.
New real estate construction database has elevated 12.2% from March 2014. Almost 4 out of 5 metropolitan has experienced growth in inventory levels from last March 2014 with the exclusion of Montgomery that faced a downfall of 3.8 pct.
Alabama's metropolitan markets in March show 5.5 month of fresh house supply, which is up 12-percent from last March's 5 months but positively down 24% from 7.2 months last month.
According to the reports of Sam Winter & Co., "March statewide property starts elevated by 5.8% from March 2014 that enhanced 3.2% in the preceding month. 2014 real estate sales were down 2.0 pct. Property starts were up 7.8% in 2013 and 6.5 percent in 2012. Statewide construction permits in March 2015 were increased by 14.6% from March 2014. 2014 construction permits were down 0.8 percent. Whereas construction permits were up 5.6 percent in 2013 and 8.4% in 2012.
Around 21 out of 27 homebuilder organizations (78Percent - up from 44Percent in Feb 2015) recorded increases in building permits in the preceding month while 14 organizations (52 Percent - up from 30 Percent in Feb 2015) recorded increases in property starts from last month. While 16 organizations (59 Percent - up from 56 Percent in Feb 2015) experienced a rise from their March 2014 property starts. All these data shows that a huge boost will be experienced by the Alabama housing market in the near future.
