HIS Believed to Enjoy Good Development in The Future

Guangzhou, Guangdong -- (SBWire) -- 06/27/2011 --High intensity sweetener (HIS) industry has enjoyed a good development in the past years, and it is estimated that the trend will continue in the next 3-5 years in China and Asia Pacific Area (AP) as most respondents believed, according to the June issue of Sweeteners China News released by CCM.

CCM conducted a survey in its report Survey of High Intensity Sweeteners in Asia Pacific launched in February 2011, which is based on opinions of respondents from HIS industry around the country.

According to the survey, most respondents were optimistic about the development of high intensity sweeteners (HIS) in China. The survey also indicates that amongst all the respondents, 70.83% of them believed that the demand for HIS will grow in the next 3-5 years.

Regarding the growth rate, 29.41% of respondents deemed that the rate will exceed 10%. The wider application field of HIS, domestic consumers' more attention to health food with low calorie and cost reduction for downstream clients are the three main drivers for the increasing HIS demand in the future.
