Tokyo, Japan -- (SBWire) -- 09/12/2016 --Takaski.com has announced the relocation of its headquarters from Setagaya Ward to Seiseki Sakuragaoka in Tokyo's Tama City. Seiseki Sakuragaoka is the home of Hayao Miyazaki's Ghibli animation film "Whisper of the Heart" from 1995.

Since the launch of Takaski Online Store in May 2015, the company has continued to grow and its Setagaya office was no longer able to accommodate the daily shipment.

Seiseki Sakuragaoka of Tokyo's Tama City was chosen as the city has the policy to welcome online businesses. Now Takaski's shipping base has access to two major postal offices, Tama Post Office and Minami Tama Post Office, allowing 24/7 dispatch.

Takaski also intends to raise the profile of Tokyo's Tama Region including Tama City. A new blog series entitled "Three Tama - Tokyo's Hidden Gems" was launched to feature main and hidden attractions located within Tama.

The Chief of the Marketing Department Peter Stanis says "Tokyo is much more than just Shinjuku, Harajuku and Asakusa. The Tama Region is much bigger than Tokyo's main 23 wards, but most of the information out there are only about limited areas within these wards. We wanted to introduce to the world the hidden gem of Tokyo".

The first featured blog post within the series is about Mount Takao, the Michelin Guide's Three-Star Mountain. It is the most climbed mountain in the entire country, due largely to the fact that it's located within an hour from most populous city of Tokyo on Keio Line.

Another post introduces "Fuchu City, Tokyo's best kept secret". Ranging from free factory tour and free sample beers, Tokyo Horse Racecourse to one of the most sacred shrine of Okunitama Shrine to a nostalgic wholesale market, Takaski enticingly introduces Fuchu City to its readers.

The latest post features Seiseki Sakuragaoka, the home of Whisper of the Heart, in which Takaski's office is located. Stanis says all the staff at Takaski.com are proud of being able to work in the town: "They don't have to explain where their office is. They say they work in Seiseki Sakuragaoka, and everyone says, 'oh Whisper of the Heart town! Is it really hilly like the film?' It's quite an icebreaker when we meet new business partners".

In addition, Takaski has created a special taskforce to do research on products that are only made in the Tama Region. As the region includes various mountains and rivers, there bound to be high quality soba noodles, honey, and fishing tools. Tama also hosts Sanrio Puroland the home of Hello Kitty, Melody and more.

For fans of Japanese jidaigeki period drama, Hino City of the Tama Region is the birthplace of Shinsengumi, the special police force from the Edo Period. Takaski's Special Taskforce is looking into Shinsengumi-related products.

Stanis states that Takaski will strive to contribute to the Tama Region by raising the profile through their blog site Blogski particularly towards the 2020 Tokyo Olympics: "There is less than four years now until the Games comes to Tokyo. We want to inform international visitors of what this region can offer. After you spend a few days in mesmerizing central Tokyo, visiting the Tama Region will give you a welcome break."
