New York, NY -- (SBWire) -- 12/05/2016 --An important, informational, and science-based peer-reviewed study was released this week for all individuals involved in the international medical industry and triage-based disaster response teams. Titled "Objective triage in the disaster setting: will children and expecting mothers be treated like others?" the paper looked at objective triage and how responders perform their practice when confronted with expecting women and children.

The paper predicted that the study of triage would be made complex from emotional responses of the interveners in the specific scenarios. It found that among the subjects surveyed, it was indeed observed that a paediatric victim is uniformly over-triaged when compared to less injured victims.

"In this research we wanted to explore how medical professionals made complex life or death decisions despite having objective criteria-based decision-making tools," said Timur Kouliev, Author.
