Miami, FL -- (SBWire) -- 08/29/2019 --School zone speeding is a serious offense, which means penalties are strict if drivers are caught breaking the law. A driver may receive a fine of more than $1,000 based on how fast they were speeding through the school zone. Furthermore, they may receive points on their driving record, including six points and a possible license suspension if the driver causes an accident while in the school zone.

Drivers concerned about a possible discrepancy due to a speeding citation they have received may wish to reach out to a traffic ticket attorney who will closely examine the citation to determine if there is the potential to have the penalties reduced or if the charges can be fully dismissed. For example, does the time recorded on the traffic ticket coincide with the hours in which drivers are required to follow the school zone speed limit?
