Asking Price for Homes in UK Reaching a New High: Boxes 2 Move Comments

Buyers brushing aside the general election and Brexit, as data shows the average asking price in the UK reaches a new record high.

Lancashire, England -- (SBWIRE) -- 06/08/2017 -- The Guardian, a British daily newspaper, have published an article online stating that the average asking price for homes in the UK has now reached a high of just over 317,000. The article said that the four weeks coming up to May 13th, prices by sellers had rose by 1.2%, making the average asking price 317,281 according Rightmove, an online property site.

A spokesperson from Rightmove had said that families looking for bigger properties in school catchment areas were more willing to ignore the uncertainty of Brexit and the general election which is set to be held early June. Adding to this, it has been stated that family homes with three to four bedrooms (non-detached), had rose by 5.4% year-on-year over the last month.

A spokesperson from Boxes 2 Move was keen to comment saying, "We were shocked when we saw this new data published by The Guardian just a couple of weeks ago. It was very intriguing for us to find out what the Rightmove director had to say about this. It is more important than ever to ensure that your move is as successful as possible, that is why we advise people to fully prepare with the right equipment, for example removal boxes.
