The underlying focus of the seminar will be to help companies be aware of the Building of Valuable Intellectual Property and devise future business strategies accordingly and to gain competitive advantage.

Dr. Kalyan has worked closely with technology driven companies on IP Protection, Strategic IP Analysis, IP Audits, Management of IP, Alliances and Licensing. During the session, Dr. Kalyan will provide an insight into performing IP audits at regular intervals, process of carrying out an IP audit in the Indian scenario. He will delve into making decisions with respect to IP utilization and reviewing licensing opportunities.

With the increase in brand awareness, branding has become a major phenomenon during the last few years. Companies have started investing more and more time and money in positioning their brand. The second session on “Trademark & Branding strategy” will be delivered by Mr. Nishant Kewalramani an expert in Indian and International patent and trade mark law. The session will start with an introduction to Value of branding and will go on to elaborate International branding challenges and thereafter trademark protection and branding strategies. The session will also throw light on Comparative advertising and branding.

The third and the last session “Assessing IP risks in launching products and FTO analysis.” will touch upon issues like Analyzing risk levels and performing FTO analysis. It will also cover issues like devising a risk mitigation strategy. This session will be delivered by Mr. Vikram Pratap Singh Thakur, having experience of providing Patent Searching and Drafting, Infringement and FTO Analysis, Landscape analysis and Patent expiry services in health care, biotech and pharma domains.

The seminar will end with a counseling session which will provide the participants with an opportunity to discuss their IP related queries with the expert panel.
