Samsung to Launch Wave III Next Month

Samsung Wave III is likely to support improved graphics and multimedia, and will run the latest version of Bada operating system.

Noida, Uttar Pradesh -- (SBWire) --08/15/2011 --Samsung is going to strengthen its Bada platform in India with the launch of Wave III next month. While no other detail was shared about the phone, it is likely to feature the latest version of the Bada OS.

Talking to 'The Mobile Indian', Asim Warsi, director of marketing, mobile business, Samsung, said, "Our Wave series has been a huge success for us here in India. We sell as many Wave handsets as any of the Galaxy handsets in the country. We are strengthening the portfolio by launching the Wave III in a month. You will see a lot of action on the Bada operating system front."

Wave III is likely to support improved graphics and multimedia, as well as the latest version of Bada operating system. Further details are elusive, but rumours suggest a dual core processor and bigger, better screen.

Wave II, the new phone's predecessor, was launched in December 2010, and the first upgrade released recently is indicative of how fast the mobile market is moving. Wave II features a 1 GHz processor, 3G, WiFi, a 3.7 inch screen, and a 5 megapixel camera. Thus it is but natural that Wave III will have better features than these.
